Introduction

Hello world! LOL! I am new to blogging so I will start by introducing myself. My name is Heather. I have been married to my AMAZING husband since April 05, 1997.  I have three boys, one adult child and the others are school age.  We are a retired military family and just settled in West Virginia. We are pleased to be settled in our permanent home.  I am looking forward to hopefully making some lasting friendships here.  I am a survivor of abuse and would love to connect with other survivors. 

I actually decided to start a blog in hopes to meet and make some friends with people who have similar interests.  I have no clue what I am doing or what to say on a blog.  I guess it is kinda like keeping an online journal for all to see.  I hope to learn from other bloggers what people like to read and what bloggers post.  If you have advice for me please share =).

I guess I can start off by telling you a little about me.  I am originally from Ohio and currently reside in West Virginia.  I didn't have the best childhood but turned out great considering!  I was unfortunately given up for adoption at age 8, they family that adopted me abused me.  I am of course over all that.  I believe in living my BEST life no matter what!  I try and almost always succeed at not dwelling on the past.  I forgive and move on! That is part of what makes me who I am today.

Ah, now to the interesting stuff or maybe not so interesting stuff you may think.  I am a MOVIE JUNKIE and proud of it, tehe!  I see ALMOST everything that comes to the theater.  It is my escape from reality.  I home school my youngest son and boy can that be a struggle at times but well worth it!  I basically have a simple life, kinda boring but stress free.  I can say that and mean it.  Stress free is always a plus!  We are pretty much home bodies in this household.  I would love to see that change but I figure if everyone is pretty much content and for the most part happy why change things.  Well we really do need to get out of the house an be more active.  We are a bunch of computer potatoes for real!

Other things I enjoy are making new friends but unfortunately finding people that actually want to hang out do things together is rough.  I learned how to crochet last year (2012), LOVE IT!  Oh and dancing, absolutely love to dance.  Wish I was still going out to clubs to get my dance on.  I am not big on drinking, I would rather be the sober one making sure the friends get home safely.  I have a couple of video games I enjoy.  I really enjoy Battlefield 3 and about to enjoy Battlefield 4(coming out Oct 29, 2013).  I can't leave out World of Warcraft, though I really haven't played that much lately but mostly because I don't have friends to play it with.  Honestly I haven't played any of my games much lately.  Been watching a lot of shows on Netflix and Hulu Plus!
