Hello fellow bloggers/readers! Sorry I have been away for a while. I have actually just been taking a break from the "Social Media". It started with Facebook really. I guess I just wanted to see if I could in fact stay away. I think it has been about a month since I was last on Facebook. I basically told my friends there I was taking a break from Facebook and would return after the holidays. Not sure if I will actually wait until after the holiday but it is possible.
I hadn't planned on staying away from my blog it just happened that way. I don't really have much going on. I have been working on the blanket I have been crocheting for my husband. It is so big, it is getting difficult to work on while sitting at my desk. I tend to work on it while I watch TV shows on Netflix at my desk. My plan is to finish it before Christmas. I will of course post a picture of the completed project later. It is the first blanket I have ever made. It is my own design, I am not following a pattern. I can't wait to finish it!
Well other than working on my first crochet blanket I haven't been doing much of anything else. I am always busy homeschooling my youngest during the week. I basically spend my free time working out, gaming, crocheting and my favorite thing to do for me time is watching movies on the big screen. Speaking of movies I am about to get off here and head to the theater to see "Last Vegas". I hadn't originally planned on seeing a movie this evening but I figured sine hubby isn't planning on going to see "Thor" then I will see another movie. I did watch "The Best Man Holiday" on Sunday, great movie.
Well that's all I have for now, just thought I would check in just in case anyone missed me, tehe! Take care all!

What's Happening?
So what's happening with me at the moment? Well a bunch of nothing, just the way I like it. Stress free, worry free, relaxing life. I have just been home schooling my youngest son, working out, gaming, working, and crocheting a huge blanket for my hubby. Though I enjoy many things I really don't get to do much outside the home.
My me time consists of me going to see movies. I am absolutely a movie junkie! Yes I do spend the money to see movies at the theater, the experience is worth it to me. Well most of the time! Some movies aren't so great but the snacks are always delicious. I do have to say that I don't care for the new brand of gummie bears that my Regal sells though. They are often hard and just don't taste that great. Not sure why they changed brands but it was not a good change.
I have been cutting back on my movies a little lately. I just really want to pay off the $400+ I owe on my credit card so I have cut back a little on movies to pay this petty bill. My plan is to just make sure I have money in my checking to pay for things so I don't have to use the darn credit card except for emergencies and for things that I pay monthly. To me it is just safer to have those monthly bills be charged to the credit card that way I don't have to make sure I have that money in my checking account each month. Oh and I usually pay the full balance due on my credit card when it is do but chose not to do that this time around, so yeah paying a little interest. I figured if I paid it all at once I would short myself on cash again and just put more on my credit and I don't want to do that, so paying a little interest this time around isn't going to hurt.
The other thing I have been doing a lot of lately is playing BF3. I have loved all the Battlefield games. I have tried like Call of Duty and Halo but have always just done better with Battlefield. I did my best just the other night and when I say my best I am talking about kill/death ratio. Yeah I die A LOT but I don't care I have fun trying either way. The other night I got 57 kills and died 31 times, that is good for me. I always score pretty well since I am not all about kills, there is more to the game than that. You have to get objectives and help out your team, whether you are providing them health or ammo.
I typically like to play a medic/assault class. My weapon of choice is the shot gun(DAO) but sadly a lot of people ban the use of shot guns on their servers. How would they like it if I banned the weapon they are best at using, seriously! Just because you are good with an automatic weapon doesn't mean everyone is. I of course try to use automatic weapons too, on big maps, just don't have as much luck with them. I am looking forward to playing the new Battlefield 4 game that is to be released on Oct 29. I reserved mine a long time ago. What is really cool is that I have Oct 30, 31 and Nov 1 off at work so I will be playing BF4 a lot over those three days I am sure. If you play BF3 you can add me, I am on Xbox Live, my gamer tag is NottySheD3vil. I do have COD Black Ops II, just got it actually so I am clueless as to the controls with that one. I also have a Halo 4 but I have nearly zero experience with these two games but that doesn't mean I am not willing to give them a try. So add me if you like.
The last thing I have been working on is my husbands blanket. This is my first blanket so most likely it will not be flawless. Who wants flawless anyway, flawless is boring! Flaws add interest to anything and every thing. Here is a picture of the blanket so far. Yes I have a long way to go to finish it.
For those of you who crochet, I am using dc and half dc in this pattern. I am also using the basket weave stitch. I should have chosen a bigger hook and then it would have been done quicker. I am using H/8 hook, so yeah going to take me a while to complete this blanket. I am using three different colors of yarn. I might make matching pillow covers too using the same pattern, we'll see. So that is really all that is going on with me lately, other than all the show I am trying to keep up with on Netflix and Hulu Plus. Maybe that can be another post, shows I enjoy! I like so many!
Well I hope everyone is doing well. Take care, have fun, and just relax! Don't let life stress you out!

Bullies are Mentally Disturbed!
So, I am PISSED OFF today. I am fed up with hearing about children who have taken theirs lives because of some bully. When are we going to start treating bullies like the criminal they are? When are we going to start a Bully Registry, like they have for sex offenders? When are these children and adults going to start serving time for their mentally disturbing behavior? There is no denying that they have some sort of mental disorder.
If you can bully someone and think it is ok, you definitely have a mental disorder and need to be treated. Hurting people with your words and/or actions is abuse no matter how you look at it. That makes a bully no different than a criminal! If a person is bullied to the point of killing themselves the bully ultimately becomes a murderer, it could be said that the bully did in fact commit involuntary manslaughter. What makes this worse is the parents that aren't do anything/or enough to stop their children from behaving this way.
I tell my kids that being mean to others is not acceptable. I tell them if they can't say anything nice to someone not to say anything at all. You do not have to like everyone but don't be mean to someone just because you don't like them. If you don't like someone you just stay away from them, there is no reason to make it know to the world/your class that you don't like them. I also make sure my children know that they are fine the way they are and tell them to try not to acknowledge those who are mean to them. I tell them if things are bothering them to talk about it, if a bully is getting out of control or it is getting hard to not acknowledge them then report that person to an adult.
It doesn't hurt for children to stand up for children who are being bullied either. You can stand up to a bully without actually acknowledging the bully. You can go get an adult if you see a situation in which someone is bothering someone else. You can go up to the person being bullied and start talking to them and gradually removing them from the situation. Just ask the person are you ok, do you need someone to talk to? Do you want to hang out? Try making that person feel good, let them know that someone does care about them.
Too often nothing is done for the person who is experiencing the bullying. Doesn't take much to step in and help. Of course if it is online it could be a little harder to step in unless of course you are friends with the person online. What brought this up today was a segment on the Today Show. It is so sad every time I hear about a child taking his/her life because of a bully. This needs to stop!

Crochet Frenzy & Craft Show
I have been a bit of slacker with my blog the last couple days. I was on a crochet frenzy! I even put my working out on a back burner to get some more items crocheted before the craft show this morning. I would call my first craft show a success! I only sold 3 of the 8 sets of dish cloths I made but that is great considering how new I am to this. Not to mention we didn't have as much traffic this year.
I believe two things contributed to our craft show not having as much traffic this year. The weather was rainy and just plain yucky! Who wants to venture out in the rain! Our community was having their Heritage Day Celebration today as well. They too had vendors and what not so I am sure that didn't help. I definitely have to start crocheting early this year so I can have lots more to sell next year and have a bigger variety of things.
I only did dish cloths this year because they come together quickly and are pretty simple to make. I love making all sorts of things though I hesitate to make things people wear. I can do hats and scarves alright but need to learn gauging before I can make things like baby cloths and what not. I can make baby booties too. I wish I had stuck with crocheting as a girl. I could be so much more advanced right now if I had.
I am happy I have gotten back into it though. It is very relaxing and fun! The only time I really get frustrated is when my yarn get twisted/tangled. I figure the sets of dish cloths I didn't sell I can either gift to family member or sell to others who may be interested. I am keeping a few for myself as well. I have heard they are great because they are abrasive enough to remove heavy soil but soft enough not to scratch up your dishes/pot and pans.
Well thanks for reading and please feel free to suggest blogs that you think I may like. Have a great weekend! =)

Upcoming craft show!
I will be attending my first craft show as a crafter this weekend, tehe! I am fairly new to crocheting but love it. I was a bit of a procrastinator so I don't have much to sell. I have been working on dish- cloths for the past couple of weeks so I have a little something to sell. I have made many things since I started crocheting last year around this time but they are not things I would be comfortable selling.
I do love the dishcloths I have made for this show though. These are the sets I have made so far :
Most of them are sets of two. I had hoped to makes sets of 3 or 4 but didn't give myself enough time to do that, sigh! I still haven't decided how much to sell them for. I should probably check Etsy to see what people sell them for on there. I would like to at least get back what I paid in yarn for them and a little for the labor, fun labor! I really do enjoy crocheting, very relaxing. Well except when the yarn comes out tangled, that can be frustrating for sure.
I may actually pick up a little more yarn and try to make some more before Saturday. I will probably actually make some while at the craft show too. The pattern I used for the red dishcloths is so simple and comes together quickly. I got that pattern from this site: Click here to check it out. I actually used two of the patterns from that site. The crunchy stitch and the textured stitch. The other site I used for the dishcloths was this one: Click here. The one I used from that site is called the Gentle Ridges Stitch/pattern.
The patterns I got from the two sites above were much more simpler than those I got out of the books I was using. Yeah, I am new to using patterns. I usually free style it when I am crocheting but I have found that patterns aren't too hard to follow. The book I used for some of the dishcloths is called "Dishcloths, Featuring a Pot Scrubber: Too!" It is important and helpful to know abbreviations too for crocheting. I found this link helped me a lot with abbreviations. I wish I had continued with crocheting when I was growing up but oh well. I would have been a pro by now if I had stuck with it. I'm not to shabby now though. I have pictures of other things I have made on my YouTube channel. You can check that out by clicking here.
Thanks again for stopping by. If you like to crochet, Happy Hooking to you!

Working out!
I am in the process of trying to get back into workout mode. I tend to workout out in an on again off again mode. I am tired of that! I want to be a workout junkie for real! I started back up this week and am feeling really good. I am considering buying the new P90X2, that would be a great birthday gift. I am currently using another bloggers videos for my workout right now. I absolutely loved P90X and can imagine I would love the second one just as well.
I guess right now it is an issue of whether or not I can afford to get the other. Maybe even ask hubby if he can get it for me for my birthday. I just hope this time around I stick with my fitness! I hate when I fall of the wagon, so to speak, and struggle to get back on. I am hoping I don't fall off the fitness train this time around. I do have a nice Facebook group I am in that I can turn to for support but I can't say I have connected with anyone as of yet. I really need to find people I connect well with. It isn't enough to just be in a group, if your not connecting with the people you won't turn to them for help. This can cause you to be off on your own again to do the journey alone.
Why would any of us choose to venture out on a fitness journey alone. That can make it boring and challenging for some of us. Hooray for those who are great self motivators but I would guess there are more people out there that need a support system, than not. I am one of those people. I have confidence I could do it on my own but I would rather not, quite honestly. Well I believe that is all I have time for, for now because I have to go to work. Thanks for stopping by my blog and please feel free to share blogs you read. I am looking for other blogs to follow.

New Blog
So today, I started a fitness blog. It's called Get Fit or Stay Fat It's Simple As That! I thought that might help me stay motivated in my fitness efforts. Don't get me wrong, I love to workout. I just find it hard to stay motivated working out all alone all the time. I need lots of variety too, get bored doing the same things over and over. I recently subscribed to Bender Fitness, Melissa is quite and inspiration. Looks like she has lots of variety as far as workouts are concerned too so I think I am really going to enjoy her blog. I could use other suggestions as to what interesting blogs are out there to follow. Things I am into are: dancing, movies, working out, crochet, knitting, homeschooling, World of War Craft, Battlefield 3 and 4, and really just life in general. Please feel free to subscribe to my blog and suggest blogs to me. Thanks for reading!
